Sr Backend Developer (Python)

TraceAir is a construction SaaS startup that provides data analytics to construction teams to help them better manage their job sites. We currently work with top land developers, home builders, contractors, and engineers across the US and Canada. This is a great chance to work with a fast-growing Series B company.

We are scaling our business and expanding the team! We’re seeking a talented Python developer to help us build unique products. Our team is deeply involved in the product and business processes, working closely with key company departments such as Sales, Finance, and Customer Success. We handle integrations with various SaaS solutions, develop our applications and backend systems, and ensure everything aligns with business needs. Our codebase is fresh and modern, so you’ll always have exciting challenges to work on. We follow the SCRUM methodology, working in sprints with daily standups to ensure smooth collaboration and progress.

Job requirements 

• Commercial development experience 5+ years in any language and 2+ years in Python
• Experience architecting testable applications
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Ansible, Jenkins, k8s/Docker, etc.)
• DevOps mindset — we are the ones who both develop and run our software platform.
• Ready to take part in weekly conference calls in English
• Experience with automating software testing.
• Basic algorithms and data structures understanding.

Nice to have

• Experience in SalesForce

• Experience in AirTable
• System/Solution Design Experience
• Deep cloud infrastructure understanding — not only how to use clouds, but how they are built and how they operated
• Cross-functionality: If you are interested in the DevOps/FrontEnd part (Jenkins, K8s, JS, React, TypeScript), we can share simple tasks and teach.
